The absolute focus of the Grill is on the quality of the produce from the butcher counter and good service in simple surroundings. Customers can choose from the butcher counter or from the menu.
The menu comprises top quality cuts of meat, simply grilled or roasted and a choice of potato dishes, vegetables or salad. In the winter a range of slow braises and stews are offered. The art by Ian Wilmott portrays abstract images of Smithfield market in days gone by and the black and white photographs show animals in their living environment.
The wine list is short and precise, 75 bins in all, offering a large selection of the wines by the glass with the emphasis leaning towards chunky reds to match the food. The staff are in casual uniforms to fit the style of the Grill.
