At the Butchery counter the New Season Lamb is in full swing. The team at Highfields Farm have produced their best again this year and we are looking forward to a long summer of delicious lamb. On the subject of a long summer, the Butchers have started to think about the barbeque season and the counter is filling up with burgers, skewers, sausages and marinated meats to ensure that your own barbeque will be remembered as the best of the season. Remember that our Chefs can produce your salads and accompaniments to ensure that you can relax and enjoy your time with family and friends.
 
Beef and lamb come mainly from Highfields Farm in East Sussex. Pork, sausages, veal, offal, poultry and game are also available alongside home-cooked meats, pies and patés as well as a small selection of oils, mustards and pickles. Signboards and printed material displayed around the shop offer customers knowledge and information about the product and the producer. Meat and poultry is prepared to a very high standard in both English and French cuts. The butchers are trained to offer the best advice  on seasonal highlights and the quality of specific products, to help customers to choose what to buy.
 
Services include home delivery by chilled van or bicycle to local customers, vacuum packing for home freezing, barbecue specials and advanced prepared orders.
